Halloween

So what is Halloween like in South Korea? Well if you're surrounded by foreigners, not much different than home really! I wish that I could write in detail about last night, but to be honest, after a certain point I don't remember much. I tend to remember everything after a night of drinking, but not this time. I'll do my best to recall what I can.

The night started out at Jon and Krista's with about 15 of us (both Koreans and foreigners). We then made our way to the Funky Dunky which was just around the corner from their place. We were pretty much the first people there but it didn't matter, we had a great time. We all grabbed our free drink and hit the dance floor. Around about 9:00 Jon was presented a bottle of JB with was the prize for best costume. We thought that it was pretty funny that they gave out the best costume prize so early in the night, and before the majority of the crowd even got there.

After more dancing we decide to head to Hongdae to go to another club. We hop in a bunch of cabs and off we go. I should mention that the weather was no cooperating, it had been pouring all day. The rain wasn't too big of a deal and the umbrellas kept us fairly dry... until I ended up face down on the pavement. That's right friends, I biffed big time on the streets of Seoul. In true Jana fashion, I managed to trip and fall on my face. I had my camera in one hand and purse in the other so I couldn't stop the fall either. It hurt like a bitch and I had mud all down my one side.

At the next club I was overwhelmed by the amount of foreigners. This unfortunately is where the night gets fuzzy for me. There were tons of free drinks flowing and on top of beer, soju and wine I also added cheap vodka to the mix. We were downing them like shots and needless to say... I basically blacked out. I just saw some pictures that someone else took of the night and I can officially say I was an embarrassment and am glad that I don't remember. It felt like I was in University all over again, and while those were good times... it's not a time that I want to rush back to any time soon.

well Jana at least there were no stairs involved in the fall haha we know it's not funny - but it's a little funny.

As for not remembering, well we all have some of those nights in our past.
