Sunday was another chilly day, too chilly to be outside... it's that damn wind. Plus I wasn't dressed accordingly. It just so happens that most of the things to do here are outside. Jon, Krista and I eventually decided to go to Coex, which is basically a huge mall in Seoul, one of the biggest I'm pretty sure.
We took a 30 minute bus ride to get to Coex which took us by the Olympic Park. This is the drive-by portion of my Sunday. I tried to snap a few pictures through the water spotted windows...
This guy is long jumping. The meridians were full of different sculptures from all different Olympic sports, unfortunately I was too slow with the camera or the water spots were just too bad. I'll go back and take a proper look at the area on another weekend. This is one of my top 5 places that I want to go in Seoul...because I'm a sports nerd.
Coex is a one level mall mostly below ground, but that goes on for several city blocks. When we were there though we did find a place that Jesus made... which was awesome.. it's really good to be able to see the kind of style that Jesus was in to.
We also passed by Jackie Chan's restaurant. Jon and Krista have eaten there a few times and apparently it is actually very good. I was super tourist and took a picture.
Please note that it says two thumbs up, but yet Jackie is only giving one thumbs up
Next we sniffed out a place called "On the Border" which is a Mexican joint that gives you free nachos chips and salsa when you go in. The plan was to go in and order beer and just eat the free chips. Krista, apparently being the only semi-decent one out of us, felt bad and we eventually also ordered an appetizer. A couple beers, a few empinadas and a whole lot of tortilla chips later we were stuffed.
I left Jon and Krista a little after four in the afternoon and began my long trip home. I panicked on the subway platform when both trains arrived at the same time and hopped on one... it was the wrong one. I was headed in completely the wrong direction. I should have gotten off at the next stop and just switched, but I didn't want to admit my mistake at first. Instead of backtracking, I decided to find a different route. Well, needless to say, I strolled in just before 7:00....not my best subway day, but all part of life in Korea.
I am exhausted and on my way to bed. You're welcome for me staying up and fighting with my internet to get these posted.

I toldly would have stayed on you don't want to look silly infront of the koreans! We've already determined they are all watching you.
Scenic route. Not wrong direction, just not considering the windiness of the roads. :)
