Fantastic Thursday

I had no intention of posting again today, but too many good things happened that I just had to write again.

After my first class my boss's wife ran at me grabbed my arm and started dragging me somewhere. I was a little scared because she had such a tight grip on my arm that I thought I may be in trouble. Silly me, she was just leading me to food. She brought more of those delicious pancake things with melted cinnamon in them (apparently just for me, Hoddeok or something), some spicey ricecakes (dukboki) and some other stuff that I didn't know what it was but was delicious. She is training me that if she ever drags me somewhere it will involve food...this may not be a good thing.

Hoddeok, doesn't it just look delicious!

Dukkboki...SPIIIIICY

Then in my second class that I teach there is a bunch of 7 year olds (that's 6 in Western age)... I love all but one... who may very well be spawn of the devil. I walked in today and there was only one kid there. "Oh great" I thought, "how am I going to entertain this one kid for 15 minutes".... and you know what... it was easy. She was a doll the whole time. I sat beside her and we talked about more than kids 5 years older than her can talk about. She told me all about her "100 dresses" and her hair ribbons and her mom. It was awesome. Then she drew poop on the board. Hahaha. She also stopped me part way through to dig through her bag to find candy to give me.

I also had a new kid join one of my "Free Talking" classes. This is huge. I have not had any kid drop a class yet and now I am getting more recruits. This speaks volumes for my job security to say the least, being that my first day my boss told me 8 times that "no kids must drop!". I wonder when the sham will be up that I am not actually doing anything besides playing go fish and pictionary.

On my way home I stopped in at the GS25 to get milk for my coffee in the morning and what do I see near the register? Ferrerro Rochers!!! My favorite chocolate ever to eat (especially around Christmas). I didn't buy any because of my lack of cash, but it was a good find for sure!

BUT the best thing that happened to me today did not happen in any particular class, but it did happen in school.... I was standing in the front filling out a paper and a man walks in and goes "J.......a......n..." that's all I let him get out before I screamed and jumped up and down. He was holding a box. It was my package from home!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Everyone was asking me what was in it, but I didn't want to open it because I knew that I would have to share whatever goodies I was sent.

I could list what I got, but pictures say it so much better...

Here it is!!! So excited!

What I was met with when I first opened it.
Yes, my mom included the KD directions. She has little faith in my cooking skills.

The haul! :)

I was going to go to Emart tonight and use my credit card to get some stuff... but once my package arrived that plan was scrapped. I came home and immediately ripped into it...before I turned on my computer, tv, anything. I am so happy in this moment.
