Palaces

I saw two palaces on Saturday, one on purpose and one by accident. I won't write too much because the pictures tell the story better. The first one was near Insadong. We had hoped to catch the changing of the guards ceremony but just missed it. Regardless we paid the 3,000Won and went in. Inside it was beautiful, and when facing one way you forgot that you were in the middle of a city. Of course turn around and the high rises are hard to miss.

  

 

The second palace I saw was when I had some time to kill before meeting Jon and Krista. I ventured to the City Hall subway stop and just walked out a random exit. I walk about 10 steps and all of a sudden there is another palace, and this time I was just in time for the changing of the guards ceremony. It was great and I had a front and center view for it. I didn't go inside because I had to get back on the subway but here are a few shots from the ceremony...
