A Little Neighbourhood Action

Tonight was good, actually got to have some more human contact with an English speaker (a girl from the States). Two nights in a row, I'm getting spoiled.

The most eventful thing that happened was that I got semi molested by an old Korean man on the street. Now, I'm not saying this is a bad thing, lord knows I gotta get it where I can take it nowadays... but I was just a little surprised. I was walking to the subway stop to meet the girl and these two old men walked by me, one said hi and waved so I waved back. I could tell this was the only word he knew and they wreaked of Soju so I kept walking. Then I hear yelling and I turn around (my first mistake) and the other little Korean man runs up to me and starts talking real close to me. I tried and back up but he was having none of it. I made a motion to say I don't understand and he decided to spell it for me.. on my chest...with his finger... all the while holding me with his other arm so I couldn't get away. Eventually I wiggle loose and start to walk away and he smacks my ass. Hahahaha, I couldn't make this up if I tried.

Overall it was a pretty funny experience. It was harmless and I've come to realize that my area is pretty safe and I no longer worry when I'm walking around alone. I almost (and I stress almost) feel like it's my hood now. Give me another few weeks and I'm sure that I'll remove the almost from that sentence.

Busy day tomorrow... lots of foreigners to meet (and by lots I mean two, maybe three).

Peace from the East
