I hate Korea. Not really, but kinda. Went out for a birthday dinner last night and all but two of us were responsible and went home around 1130, most of us had plans today.. some bigger than others (I'll get to that in a minute). Two of the people went out and I was still getting texts near 3am. What happens outside my window? Blaring music. There is an election soon and they are campaigning hardcore. Apparently campaigning means blaring semi pop music on every corner of a not so busy intersection in an old area of Incheon. It went on from 7-9. You know in movies how you see people trying to drown out the noise by putting a pillow on top of their head? Ya, that was me. So I was kept awake until 3am with drunk texts (I can't complain being I sent a friend 30.. yes 30... drunk texts in one night. Starting at 9pm and ending around 5am) and then up at 7 with blaring music. Might as well have gone drinking last night.
Today is Buddha's Birthday so we are gonna go check out a temple, then go bike riding by the river, that's all that's planned for the day. It's one of my friends last weekends in Korea (tear) so today is her day. We were supposed to go on a weekend adventure (well Saturday Sunday) of bungee jumping, whitewater rafting, atving and paintballing in eastern Korea. Unfortunately it was canceled by the people organizing it. Last minute. It sucks. We are trying to throw something together for tomorrow, maybe go to an island or something, we'll see.
For now that I gotta run, I'm already late even though I was up almost two hours early.
Hope all is well overseas.
