Day 2 = Another Bust

I woke up sick today. I shouldn't be surprised being every single person I know in Korea, from my boss to coworkers to friends, have been sick recently. Since the day was another cloudy and semi rainy day I elected to stay in and try and get better. Let's hope it's working.

I need to tell you about yesterday. We were in almost what would be called a flash flood. It rained so hard and so fast that the sewers couldn't drain fast enough. I was at Jeff's and we watched the streets and sidewalks fill with water. People were taking off their shoes and walking barefoot through the streams running through the street. Cars were trying to drive through water much too high and there were lines of cars in the middle of the street that had flooded and stalled. The rain finally stopped and the water gradually went down, only for it to happen again.

Jeff's apartment lost power and we went outside to investigate. Smoke was billowing out of part of his building, which explained the electricity malfunction. Then the firemen showed up. And then..... three loud pops later and he was gonna be without power for at least 4 days. Yup, his power pole fell over. Gotta say, glad it wasn't mine!

Incheon wasn't the only place that had this weather. Looking around at some of the news sites and Seoul had it just as bad, if not worse. Check out a couple pictures that I found online.
