The Food

The food in the Philippines was absolutely amazing. Anything you wanted, you could get.... I'll let the picture do most of the talking...

Our first night in Boracay we had a fresh lobster dinner on the beach. This was the first lobster dinner I had ever had and I gotta say, pretty good way to start. For two lobster dinners and a bottle of wine we paid about 15$ each. Not too shabby.

We ate on the beach a ton, the next evening we sat out and shared some pasta and pizza. Gotta say that I've had better pasta (although not in Korea, damn sweet pasta sauces), but the margarita and view more than made up for it.

We hit up some Mexican one night and it's the best Mexican I've had in I can't even remember how long. It was one of the first times we didn't eat on the beach, but the entire front of the restaurant was open and had a nice breeze, which we sure needed to sooth our burnt bodies. We shared some burritos (I think, to be honest I can't remember) and a Guacamole tray and washed it down with a couple Margaritas.... I'm salivating just thinking of it.

And the Greek food! Oh the Greek food was amazing. We got a spinach and artichoke dip to begin which was huge because you can't get dips in Korea. Then we moved on to some souvlaki, chicken for myself and fish for Brittany. It was unfortunate that I was still getting over my sickness and could only stuff down less than half of this delicious meal.

On the Friday night we finally made our way down to Talipapa which housed a fish market. You can haggle over your fish, shrimp, prawns, lobster, clams...etc. and then take it about 5 steps to a restaurant that will cook it for you any way you like. This is actually where we spent both our Friday and Saturday nights for dinner. Big prawns both nights, some clams one night and blue marlin the second. I was never a huge seafood person, but after my week in Boracay I feel in love with it.

mmmmmmm....send me back now!
